Illness........

WHEW!! I pray that is over!!

So, I got home that night and one was still sick. The middle of the night, another started throwing up. We made it through all that and then 4 days later, another one got sick. Four days later, I got sick. We stayed home for a full week after that and no one had any symptoms. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last Saturday, I went to a memorial service for a sweet sweet family who lost their baby and we went to church on Sunday as a family. It was wonderful! Life seemed to be getting back to normal.

Tuesday the kids and I headed to mom and Bert's to hang out and to help them with some food prep. It was a long but productive day and we were excited to be able to see Papa Bert doing so well and at home! About midnight, we were awakened by the littlest one screaming. He had been hit by the stomach bug!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Seriously?! Are you kidding me?! You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. RIGHT?! I couldn't believe it. A sleepless night and long day with a 22 month old throwing up, diarhea and fever. NOT FUN!! He was finally able to keep fluids down and settled down and was able to sleep. He slept a LONG time. Like 14 hours long. This brings us to yesterday. :D

After being lethargic all day and getting less and less interested in drinking anything, we headed to Urgent Care. Diagnosis~viral gastroenteritis (I knew that one :) ) and ear infection. He sure seemed sicker than an ear infection but I was relieved it was only that. He started on antibiotics and is feeling much better today although still no appetite really.

The "bonus" in all this is that when he was so sick he didn't have his bink. So, i didn't give it to him yesterday and by last night we decided if he had gone 2 days, we were good to go. Well, today he is feeling well enough to miss it. :-( Getting him down for nap was not as easy as it normally is but if we can make it a couple more days we will be bink free!!! FOR GOOD!!! :)

So, with all that said, I pray that the illness has left our family for a LONG LONG LONG time. Spring is here and with that healthier days I hope. And, no moving this year right before the holidays!! We are planning on going to church this Sunday again and keeping little man with us. We will see if we get to go to classes on Wednesday again too! It has been a LONG time since we have been to classes. :(
